Tattoo Reduction

Creating a beautiful work of art over someone else's is more challenging. Cover-up tattoos work best if the tattoo is faded and light. Usually, this happens over time, but if you want to save time hating your skin, professional tattoo lightening is your fastest, most effective route.

Tattoo R&R stands out from other tattoo removal experts with over 20 years of tattoo and tattoo process expertise. In addition, we have award-winning cover-up tattoo artists in-house to assess the lightening progress and give your artist the best workable canvas.

When can I cover my tattoo?

Small, single-colored tattoos are the quickest to lighten. They may need only a single visit. Complex, large, and multi-colored tattoos may require multiple sessions.

Some tattoos lighten significantly after the first treatment. Your tattoo will continue to fade for 6-8 weeks. We schedule treatments six weeks apart to give the ink time to lighten. We’ll evaluate your results to determine the number of treatments needed.

How to lasers fade tattoos?

Our lasers produce pulses of light using a specific wavelength selectively absorbed by tattoo pigment (selective thermolysis). Ink deposits in the skin dermis absorb this high energy, converting it to heat. This energy shatters ink particles into smaller pieces. As the skin heals, your immune system removes ink and flushes it out of your body via the lymphatic system over the coming weeks and months.
